How does laser hair removal work?

The light energies that are delivered during your laser hair removal treatment destroy the hair follicle. With each treatment, only the follicles in their first stage of growth, anagen, are susceptible to treatment, which is why laser treatments are provided in a series. The Vectus Laser can remove hair from faces, backs, chests, arms, underarms, bikini, and legs
We offer packages of six treatments, which is the average number of sessions needed for the best aesthetic outcome. Laser hair removal technology can only affect hair in active phases of growth, so several treatments are needed to affect all of the unwanted hair. For face, underarms, arms, and bikini, sessions are spaced approximately 4-6 weeks apart. Back, chest, and legs are approximately 8-10 weeks apart.

What does laser hair removal feel like?

Most people feel only a slight momentary “snap” at the treatment site during the procedure. After treatment, it’s normal to experience a mild, sunburn-like sensation, possibly accompanied by some minor redness and/or swelling immediately following the treatment.
These side effects usually lasts 2-24 hours. While this can be slightly inconvenient, you can resume regular daily activities immediately following treatment

Am I a good candidate for laser hair removal?

The Vectus can safely be used on all skin types from very light skin to very dark skin. It is best if the hair is black or brown, however, your provider will determine if you are a good candidate for the procedure based on a variety of factors.

How do I treat my skin between treatments?

Hair may be shaved, trimmed, and cut. It may not be tweezed, waxed, or removed with depilatories. This disrupts the hair growth pattern by causing trauma and resistance to the follicles. Though many share this concern, the hair in the treatment area will not grow back darker or courser due to shaving. With each treatment, fewer hair follicles remain.
In fact, the area needs to be freshly shaved before your treatment session. You may shave the area the day before the treatment or the day of the treatment before coming in for your session.
